Mission Statement

The White Plains Outdoor Arts Festival is a not-for-profit organization, founded for the dual purpose of presenting a high quality juried fine arts and crafts show to the White Plains community, and using the profits of that show for college scholarships for selected White Plains high school graduating seniors, who will go on to pursue education in the fine arts at the college level.

About The WPOAF

The White Plains Outdoor Arts Festival (“WPOAF”) has been a community tradition for over 55 years. The festival is organized annually by a group of dedicated volunteers, with strong support from the City of White Plains.

All proceeds from the show are donated back to the community as scholarships for White Plains High School seniors who demonstrate an exceptional aptitude for fine arts and who plan to pursue arts studies in college, making WPOAF the largest sponsor of art scholarships in the community.

The WPOAF brings diverse displays of fine arts and crafts to tree-lined Tibbits Park in the heart of bustling downtown White Plains. The Festival showcases painting, photography, ceramics, glasswork, jewelry, textiles, and much more, and is a great place to experience art and shop for one-of-a-kind gifts and home décor. The event also features emerging artists, the artwork of our scholarship winners, a free children’s arts and crafts table, and unique food vendors. You can even win a unique piece of art donated by our talented artists at our raffle, with proceeds donated to the scholarship fund.
